Senior Electrical Engineer - PowerLake Superior Consulting is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Systems to join our growing team. This is a high-impact technical leadership role for an experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex electrical design challenges and leading projects from concept through execution. In this role, you will support a wide range of industrial and energy infrastructure projects, including Oil & Gas, Renewables, Distributed Power, Data Centers, and Power Generation.
You'll serve as a technical lead, client partner, and mentor—helping deliver practical, high-quality engineering solutions while guiding project teams and supporting business growth.Key Responsibilities:Lead moderate to large-scale electrical engineering projects from concept through deliveryServe as a technical lead and make sound decisions on complex engineering issuesDevelop and oversee: Power system designs, Controls drawings, Engineering calculations, Technical reports and Project documentationDesign electrical service interconnects in coordination with local utility providersPrepare specifications for the procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipmentPerform and/or lead: Electrical system studies, detailed design work, design reviews, field investigations and technical reportingUse engineering software such as SKM or ETAP for system modeling and analysisCoordinate closely with project managers, clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholdersIdentify project risks, scope changes, and technical challenges early and proactivelyContribute to proposal development, cost estimating, and business development effortsProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designersWhat You Bring:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredProven experience in a technical leadership roleDirect experience supporting industrial facilitiesExperience using SKM or ETAPStrong working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, IEEE, API and AGA recommended practicesWhy Join Lake Superior Consulting?At Lake Superior Consulting, you'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that support critical infrastructure and the evolving energy landscape. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated salary/hourly range for this position is $120,000-$170,000 per year.
