Senior Electrical Engineer – Power ElectronicsLocation: Torrance, CAKey ResponsibilitiesLead electrical system design for high-power electronic products from concept through productionDesign and develop: Inverters and converters (AC/DC, DC/AC)Gate driver circuitsHigh-power electronic systems and assembliesAuto-transformers and related magnetic componentsPerform schematic capture, simulation, and analysis using industry-standard toolsDrive PBA (Printed Board Assembly) layout design in collaboration with layout engineersEnsure compliance with EMI/EMC requirements and support testing and certificationConduct electrical troubleshooting at board, subsystem, and system levelsSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including design reviews, validation, and manufacturing transitionCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teamsPrepare and review technical documentation, test plans, and design reportsSupport military and defense programs requiring strict compliance and documentation standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field10+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience, with a focus on power electronicsProven expertise in: High-power electronic designInverter and converter designGate driver designAC/DC and DC/AC power conversionHigh-power systems architectureEMI/EMC mitigation techniquesStrong experience with: Schematic capture and electrical designPBA layout design and reviewElectrical troubleshooting and root-cause analysisProficiency with engineering tools such as: PCADLTspicePSIMMATLABDemonstrated experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) programsPreferred QualificationsExperience working on military, aerospace, or defense programsFamiliarity with regulatory and compliance standards for high-power systemsStrong mentoring or technical leadership experience
