Job Summary
Design and oversee electrical systems for commercial and building projects within an MEP/FP consulting engineering environment. The role focuses on electrical design, power distribution, technical reviews, project coordination, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and building projects.
- Design and oversee electrical power distribution systems.
- Conduct electrical design reviews and technical assessments.
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Perform site inspections and electrical system assessments.
- Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Manage electrical engineering projects from design through implementation.
- Troubleshoot engineering issues and recommend technical solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients.
- Maintain project quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Electrical engineering design experience.
- Strong experience in electrical design and power distribution systems.
- Knowledge of electrical power systems and engineering principles.
- Experience with electrical design reviews and project coordination.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in New York, NY.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in MEP/FP consulting engineering.
- Experience managing electrical engineering projects.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Experience with commercial building electrical systems
