Advance your career by shaping innovative electrical solutions with a national leader in engineering design.Principal ResponsibilitiesLead design efforts and analysis of electrical systems using engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standardsPerform site assessments and generate detailed technical reportsBuild and maintain client relationships through effective communication and understanding of project requirementsConduct in-process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry and client standardsTrain, mentor, and motivate engineering staffProvide technical assistance for field issue resolution with minimal supportStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; lead research and innovation effortsPrioritize safety and identify potential risks in all engineering workCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutionsLead project interviews and presentationsRequired Qualifications and SkillsBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License required7 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting industryAdept in the technical aspects of one's discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systemsKnowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS;Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam RevuAbility to mentor, train, motivate, and lead othersAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsStrong training and mentoring skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel with occasional overnight staysThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.Why Join Us: IMEG puts people first—with a strong focus on career growth, work-life balance, and meaningful impact.
