Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Natick, MA (Boston / MetroWest) | Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid

Overview

A growing architecture/engineering firm with deep regional reach is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead building systems design for projects across New England. This role suits a licensed PE who wants technical leadership, variety in project types, and a collaborative culture focused on professional growth, designing and delivering electrical systems for commercial, municipal, healthcare, industrial, and institutional facilities while playing a key role throughout project delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems design
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, one line diagrams, and detailed drawings
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and project teams
• Conduct construction administration including site visits and technical reviews
• Oversee QA/QC to maintain technical excellence
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical decisions
• Interact with clients and present solutions

Required qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• PE license
• Eight or more years of electrical building systems design experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering tools
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and energy efficiency principles
• Leadership, mentoring, and excellent communication skills
