Senior Electrical EngineerAn advanced defense technology organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and integrate electronic systems for autonomous platforms.This role focuses on developing the electrical backbone of complex aerospace and autonomous systems, taking designs from concept through prototyping, validation, and field deployment.The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong experience in electrical hardware design, PCB development, embedded systems, and hardware testing who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment.Electrical Design & DevelopmentDesign and develop electrical systems from concept through production.Create and review: SchematicsPCB layoutsElectrical documentationBill of Materials (BOMs)Test proceduresSupport hardware architecture decisions and system-level electrical integration.Prototype Development & TestingSupport hardware bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting.Perform: Signal integrity testingPower system validationHardware debuggingUse laboratory equipment including: OscilloscopesLogic analyzersElectrical testing equipmentBuild, solder, assemble, and troubleshoot prototype hardware.Power Systems & Hardware IntegrationDesign and support: Battery management systemsVoltage regulation systemsPower distribution systemsCollaborate with mechanical, firmware, and systems teams to ensure successful integration.Support field testing and continuous improvement efforts.Engineering Documentation & ImprovementParticipate in: Design reviewsTrade studiesTesting campaignsReliability improvementsDevelop technical documentation and support manufacturing processes.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in: Electrical EngineeringElectronics EngineeringComputer EngineeringRelated engineering discipline2+ years of hands-on experience designing and testing electronic hardware.Experience with: PCB design tools (Altium preferred)Analog and digital circuit designPower integrity and grounding principlesEmbedded hardware systemsFamiliarity with embedded communications: CANSPII²CUARTExperience using electrical lab equipment.Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced engineering environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience in: AerospaceDefenseRoboticsAutonomous systemsKnowledge of: MIL-STD-461MIL-STD-810Ruggedized hardware designExperience with: Motor drivesRF systemsWireless communication systemsField testingManufacturing supportFamiliarity with: DFM / DFA principlesIPC standards (IPC-A-600, CID/CID+)Additional RequirementsMust meet ITAR eligibility requirements.Must be authorized to work in the United States.Onsite position in Leander, TX.Experience working in regulated aerospace/defense environments preferred.BenefitsCompetitive compensation package.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement benefits.Opportunity to work on advanced autonomous and aerospace technologies.High-impact role with direct ownership of engineering projects.
