A lead defense contractor is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support its unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) programs in Huntsville, AL or Simi Valley, CA. This engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain electrical and electronic systems for UAV platforms, including avionics, embedded systems, and RF communications. Responsibilities include performing system design and analysis, selecting components, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting flight testing and manufacturing efforts, and ensuring compliance with performance and safety requirements. This role also contributes to product reliability and may provide technical leadership on projects or small teams. xzgxqkn This role will be paying between $100-153k depending on years of experience and qualifications.
Required Skills & Experience
- ObtainedBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 4-8 years of experience with electrical/electronic system design
- UAV/UAS, avionics, embedded systems, or aerospace/defense experience
- Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Knowledge of RF communications and system integration
- Experience with power electronics, motors, and battery technologies
- Ability to support flight test and production environments
