Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.Position OverviewAs a Senior Electrical Engineer your roles and responsibilities will include:Engineering support and leadership of the high voltage electrical system engineering and safety programsEngineering support to maintenance, operations and engineers in production areas throughout the plantThe successful incumbent will also provide electrical engineering and continuous improvement support, problem solving, technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems, maintenance and engineering training and documentationThis person will also develop, manage and implement capital projects, major repairs and maintenance activities and provide some electrical engineering support to all manufacturing and plant areasBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institutionMinimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience within a manufacturing environmentElectrical engineering experience with industrial high voltage and 480VAC power distribution, transformers, automation, process control systems, drives, and PLC'sExperience leading, managing and implementing electrical projects including design, installation, and commissioningOversee the activities of craft persons involved in the implementation of engineered solutions and maintenance activities. In this role, be able to initiate and maintain an ongoing dialogue with personnel to identify issues, clarify requirements, and facilitate use of safe work practices, personal protective equipment, clearance / lock-tag-verify proceduresManage external vendors who provide electrical design and support functionsDemonstrated ability to work within a team environment and with cross functional teamsEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The ideal Senior Electrical Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:10 years' experience and working knowledge of electrical systems and manufacturing processes and principles5 years' experience in high voltage electrical equipment and component engineering, design and application specification, maintenance and failure analysisWorking knowledge and experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD softwareExperience in estimating, justifying, managing and installing capital projectsExperience designing, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical power and control systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, transmission lines, sub-stations, breakers and relaysWorking knowledge of electrical engineering, industry safety standards and related codes and specificationsStrong electrical engineering, maintenance and reliability backgroundUnderstanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TQM, etc.Strong written and oral communications skillsStrong problem solving and creative thinking skillsWe understand that even if you are a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer you may not have all the skills listed here.
