Senior Electrical Engineer Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience in design for industrial, commercial, government, academic, R&D, or multi-family projects
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and knowledge of SKM and lighting design software
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and LEED accreditation required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred

Senior Electrical Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design and produce construction documents for complex projects
• Mentor and train design and project engineers, ensuring quality and best practices
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members
• Perform electrical calculations including load studies, voltage drops, and equipment sizing
• Conduct field observations and document conditions and construction progress
• Review and respond to comments from clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and other reviewers
• Manage project budgets and schedules while overseeing work through project completion
• Participate in design coordination meetings and handle construction administration items such as RFIs and change orders
