Sr. Electrical Engineer Fountain Valley, CAResponsible for design and support of projects in the Advanced Products department.

Experience with electronics design, layout, and troubleshooting, MCU specification and programming, code generation, and design verification and validation. Cross-functional interface with internal departments, vendors and contractors to ensure prototype designs meet performance specifications.Qualifications:BS in Electrical Engineering5+ years of hardware design, layout, schematic capture (Altium preferred)Knowledge of serial interfaces (I2C, SPI, RS-232 etc), Python, and C/C++Practical electronics lab experience such as soldering, reflow, testingHands-on experience implementing test procedures for electronic hardware and firmwareKnowledge of peripherals, sensors, and other hardwareKnowledge of rigid-flex assemblies is a plus.Familiarity with PIC microcontrollers and MPLAB (plus)Familiarity with data acquisition hardware and techniques is a plusResponsibilities:Develop and evaluate new products and modify existing designs to meet requirements (this includes design analysis, laboratory tests, simulation and building new product prototypes).Develop, implement, and maintain fixtures for testing optomechanical & electromechanical systems. This includes conceptual mechanical design, COTS specification, sourcing and integration, UI design & implementation, and test data management.Lead and participate in design reviews.Solve production and/or quality related problems using root cause analysis.Provide design and development support for incorporating usability into products.Select components/equipment based on analysis of specs and reliability.Identify circuitry & component level issues, then recommend and implement hardware/firmware related solutions based on product requirements.Analyze test data and generate reports to substantiate functionality and product specifications.Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
