Senior Electrical EngineerThe Senior Electrical Engineer provides electrical design expertise and leadership for the entire project, from initial survey through final inspection. The Senior Electrical Engineer serves as the electrical discipline team leader for the project directing other engineers and designers as required and appropriate. Typical duties that the Senior Electrical Engineer will be expected to perform will include writing technical reports, performing calculations, selecting equipment, and designing lighting, power, fire alarm, security and telcom/data systems.Responsibilities:Act as the primary point of contact for electrical related project issuesComplete project from start to finish without directionConduct surveys of existing conditionsWrite technical reportsPerform calculations, select equipment, and design systems (lighting, power, fire alarm, and telcom/data systems)Prepare project specificationsRespond to Requests for Information during bidding and constructionReview construction submittalsConduct and document final inspectionsGenerate As-Built drawingsEnsure all project work is completed on schedule and within budgetPerform quality control reviews on all assigned projects as directed by the Department HeadRequired Qualifications:BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited universityProficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, and SKMRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.)10+ years of experience in design and specification of: lighting systems, power systems, fire alarm systems, telcom/data systems, medium voltage power systems, UPS systems, emergency generator systems, grounding systems, and utility systemsExtensive experience with renovation and new projects for commercial, government, and institutional clientsPreferred Qualifications:Active Secret or Top Secret security clearanceConstruction Document Technologists (CDT) certified by the Construction Specifications InstituteLEED Accredited Professional certified by the U.S.
