Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware (110-136K)We have a fantastic opportunity available to join a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology manufacturer in the Syracuse area. Overview:·         Fast Growing DoD Sensing Technology Manufacturer.·         Competitive Pay, Benefits, and Attractive Stock Options.·         Work on innovative digital hardware, FPGA, and high-speed electronic systems.·         Collaborate with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering team developing next-generation products.Responsibilities:·         Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.·         Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.·         Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.·         Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.·         Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architectures.·         Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.·         Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.Education and Experience:·         Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.·         5+ years of digital hardware design experience.·         Experience designing analog and digital circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.·         Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.·         Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.·         Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.·         U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.Preferred Experience:Altium Designer.Xilinx Vivado.RF Systems or Software Defined Radio (SDR).Digital Signal Processing (DSP).MATLAB, Python, and Linux.Experience performing design reviews and providing technical leadership.
