Senior Electrical Engineer - Digital HardwareHidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. This position is located in the Syracuse, NY office with the potential for hybrid arrangements.Responsibilities:Derive and document Digital Hardware system requirements working collaboratively with multiple technical disciplinesDefine custom multi-layer PCB architectures and perform part selection, schematic design, and aid in layout activitiesPerform functional test and verification activities for new hardware and aid in production transition and supportArchitect and design HDL solutions for the latest Xilinx FPGAs and SoC devices such as Ultrascale+ and RFSoCsDesign and implement efficient solutions for data acquisition, digital signal processing, command and control, external hardware interfaces, and high-speed communication protocolsUse scripting languages such as Python and Bash to automate and improve workflowsPerform integration and test of hardware and HDL designs at subsystem and system levelsProvide information in support of project planning, execution, and oversightWhat We're Looking For:A desire to own project assignments and work creatively and collaboratively on cross-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions that impress our customers and move our industry forward.An open-minded approach to solving challenges, and proactive development of backup plans to ensure the team can hit the mark even when encountering the unexpected.A mindset trained on long-term goals and objectives, balanced with making demonstratable incremental steps along the way to meet the pace of our industry.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to efficiently convey complex ideas, coupled with an ability to listen, question, and understand stakeholder needs.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field5+ years related professional experiencePCB design experience including the design of digital and analog circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memories, and high-speed data convertersFamiliarity with VHDL and/or Verilog to configure FPGAs and other embedded systemsApplied experience testing and validating analog and digital hardware using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.10% travel.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Altium design environmentExperience with modern Xilinx FPGAs and the Vivado design environmentExperience with Communication and Sensor systems, Digital Signal Processing, Software Defined Radios, RF System DesignExperience providing design oversight and detailed design review feedbackExperience with Matlab, Python, LinuxCompensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance.

The company also provides a remote or hybrid work environment and potential stock options.Salary Range: The salary range for this position is estimated at $109,000 to $136,000 annually.
