We know that tomorrow's requirements are today's opportunities, and we are here to design lasting solutions for pressing challenges.Job Summary: The Sr. Electrical Engineer will provide comprehensive electrical engineering services to support the design and delivery of construction projects for a diverse range of clients.

You will be working on diverse projects in healthcare, military, airports and municipal facilities. This role involves leading and managing design efforts, preparing detailed construction documents, and coordinating closely with architects, owners, and other project stakeholders to ensure high-quality and efficient electrical systems.General Duties:Leading the design effort on large and small projectsManage design schedules and design team membersAbility to interact and work directly with Architects and OwnersConduct preliminary evaluationsPrepare various reports and meeting minutesProduce design documents (drawings and specifications)Willingness to travel for projects nationally and internationallyDesign review to assure adherence to applicable codes, company standards and project requirementsQualifications:BS in Electrical Engineering with PE RegistrationMinimum 8 years of experience in Electrical Design including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, coordination/arc flash studiesExtensive knowledge of the National Electrical CodeStrong knowledge of Building Codes, Applicable NFPA Codes and Energy CodesProficiency in Microsoft Office SoftwareMust be able to work as part of a team and balance multiple projects.Must be a US CitizenCompensation: $110-130KLocation: Charlotte, NC (HYBRID) Travel: 10%This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysWellness programs and employee assistance resourcesProfessional development supportFounded in 1975, Salas O'Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm focused on achieving impact for our clients, our team, and the world.
