We are seeking an Electrical Engineer. This role supports the Grid Operations and Planning Research area and will contribute to — and eventually lead — efforts to deploy, evaluate, and assess emerging grid technologies. The position emphasizes power system analysis, modeling, simulation, data analytics, and visualization , with opportunities to engage in broader power system initiatives.

* Modeling and simulation using Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) with hardware-in-the-loop testing
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute research plans to evaluate emerging grid technologies
* Support and eventually lead technology deployment and performance evaluation efforts
* Perform power system analysis, modeling, and simulation, including digital twin applications
* Apply data analytics and visualization techniques to support grid operations
* Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
* Document study assumptions, methodologies, and results clearly and accurately
* Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional research and engineering teams
* Participate in limited overnight travel as required (not extensive)
Education & Technical Requirements
* Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (EE)
* 6-10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
* Proficiency in power system modeling and simulation tools such as RTDS, PSCAD, or PSS/E
* Specialization in Power Systems
* Experience or training in computer programming (Python, C#, SQL)
* Experience or training in data science, data analytics, or visualization
* Knowledge of databases, data structures, and computer networking

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
