Our Bagdad operations in Arizona offers housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial-scale concentrate leach processing facility, as well as one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.

What You Will Do
* Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of Electrical Engineering projects.
* Develop Electrical Engineering projects utilizing new technology to constantly upgrade and improve site safety, efficiencies, cost controls, quality controls and protection of the environment.
* Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.
* Manage maintenance and projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansion or modifications.
* Provide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations.
* Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas.
* Develop and evaluate AFE's (Authorization for Expenditure) for capital funding requests.
* May evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
* May represent the site on company-sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teams.
* Perform other duties as required.
What You Bring To Freeport
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and five (5) years of related experience in Engineering or a related field, OR
* Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and three (3) years of related experience in Engineering or related field.
* Working knowledge and experience in electronics, PLCs, radio communications and control systems.
* Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of Electrical Engineering with an understanding of Mechanical and Process Engineering techniques.
* Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
* Skill in managing large/complex Engineering projects.
* Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written.
* Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement.
* Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
* Skill in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced degree or professional engineering (PE) certification.
* Strong knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations.
* Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E standards.
* Experience in cost estimating for electrical projects.
* Experience with project financials, including S-curves and AFEs.
* Skills in developing, reviewing, and analyzing P&IDs and electrical drawings.
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $105,000-$145,000 . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
