Senior Electrical DesignerWorley is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer with advanced Aveva E3D capability to support industrial and manufacturing facility projects. The successful candidate will develop, coordinate, and check accurate, constructible electrical design deliverables with limited supervision.This role requires expert-level E3D model navigation, electrical design coordination, drawing extraction, elevation views, and development of 2D drawing backgrounds from 3D models. Candidates must also be proficient with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office products.Experience supporting chemical process plants, manufacturing facilities, power generation facilities, industrial utility systems, and other heavy industrial environments is preferred.The position is based out of Charleston, WV, USA.
Candidates located in or near Charleston are preferred; remote work locations will be considered for candidates with the required technical capability. Occasional travel may be required.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, check, and coordinate electrical design deliverables for industrial and manufacturing facility projectsUse Aveva E3D for electrical 3D design, model coordination, elevation cuts, design reviews, and drawing extractionPrepare 2D electrical drawings in AutoCAD using E3D model extracts, engineering input, field information, and project standardsDesign electrical layouts, equipment arrangements, raceway layouts, cable routing, junction boxes, lighting plans, grounding plans, control room layouts, single-line diagrams, motor control schematics, and installation detailsUse Navisworks and E3D to review model content, identify interferences, and support interdisciplinary coordinationApply strong familiarity with NFPA 70, National Electrical Code, to industrial electrical design workSupport drawing checks, redline incorporation, field walkdowns, construction questions, and as-built updatesRequired QualificationsUnited States citizenship is requiredAdvanced proficiency with Aveva E3D for electrical design, model navigation, model coordination, drawing extraction, elevation views, and 2D background developmentHigh proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office productsStrong familiarity with NFPA 70, National Electrical Code, and its application to industrial electrical designExperience designing junction boxes, sizing electrical and control cables, and producing lighting plans, grounding plans, control room layouts, single-line diagrams, motor control schematic drawings, and installation detailsMinimum of 10 years of progressive electrical design experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, chemical, power, or similar facility projects preferredAbility to work independently, coordinate across disciplines, support project schedules, and produce accurate, constructible deliverablesPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in electrical design, drafting, engineering technology, or a related technical fieldFormal training or certification in Aveva E3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, electrical drafting, or industrial design technologyProficiency with DIALux or AGI32 lighting modeling softwareExperience working in multidisciplinary EPC, engineering, or design-build project environmentsJoin a global team of mining, minerals and metals experts who help customers navigate complexity and move projects forward with confidence.
