Conduit AssemblerThe purpose of a Conduit Assembler is to install electrical systems in the Power Control Room (PCR) and to ensure the PCR is shipped and delivered on time.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Learn and adhere to all safety policies and practices to avoid safety incidentsLearn and adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices to ensure consistent productionEnsure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product qualityEnsure that work areas remain clean and well organizedLifting up to 50 lbs. occasionallyConstantly standingFrequently working from a ladder, and climbing up and down laddersConstantly working overheadConstantly working in cramped quartersInstall electrical devices (disconnects, lights, panel boards, transformers, battery chargers, lighting contactors, VFDs, etc.)Bend, run, and install conduit (EMT and Rigid)Install wirewayInstall cable trayPull wire and large cableCut, strip, crimp, and terminate wiresInstall wiring by following standard work/process instructions (NEC Manual)Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assignedEducation and Experience:Minimum of high school diploma or GED and 5+ year of relevant manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experienceMust have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbalJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:RequiredAbility to perform basic mathematical calculationsKnowledge of air, hand, and power toolsBasic mechanical knowledgeAbility to read a tape measureAbility to bend conduit on a GB Sidewinder style bender (EMT and Rigid)Experience installing cable trayExperience installing wire wayAbility to crimp and terminate wiresAbility to read drawings (wiring diagrams, schematics, layout drawings)Working knowledge of electricity, circuits, and functions of common components (panel boards, transformers, disconnects, terminal blocks, relays, lighting contactors, etc)Working knowledge of relevant NEC Code sections and Powell Standards and Best PracticesEmployee is expected to meet or exceed established Senior Electrical Assembler productivity run ratesAbility to perform tasks with minimal direction or supervisionPreferredMentoring skillsTroubleshooting abilityTime and project managementAble to generate a material take off
