Senior Electrical Assembler

Senior Electrical AssemblerThe Senior Electrical Assembler will perform various duties on power distribution equipment and power control rooms that includes assembly, wiring and installation of components and systems.Essential ResponsibilitiesInterpret technical drawings and prints to assemble point to points systems, control panels and other electrical systems accurately.Install electrical devices (disconnects, lights, panel boards, transformers, battery chargers, lighting contactors, VFDs, etc.) adhering to engineering specifications and quality standards.Identify, cut, strip, and secure wires, connectors, and harnesses for industrial applicationsCut, strip, crimp, and terminate wiresUse wire markers, cable labels, tie-wraps, or cable lacing to maintain organized harnessesInstall wiring by following standard work/process instructions (NEC Manual)Learn and adhere to all safety policies and practices to avoid safety incidentsLearn and adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices to ensure consistent productionEnsure quality by following standard work/process instructions & identifying any potential risks to product qualityEnsure that work areas remain clean and well organizedMinimum QualificationsMinimum of high school diploma or GED and 5+ year of relevant manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experienceMust have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbalAbility to crimp and terminate wiresAbility to read drawings or blueprintsStrong understanding of electrical components, systems, including soldering, wiring, & circuit assembly.Working knowledge of electricity, circuits, and functions of common components (panel boards, transformers, disconnects, terminal blocks, relays, lighting contactors, etc)Ability to read drawings (wiring diagrams, schematics, layout drawings)Working knowledge of relevant NEC Code sectionsMentoring skills and ability to train others effectively.Preferred QualificationsTroubleshooting abilityTime and project managementAble to generate a material take offSkills, Abilities & Other RequirementsAbility to perform tasks with minimal direction or supervisionAbility to perform basic mathematical calculationsKnowledge of air, hand, and power toolsBasic mechanical knowledgeAbility to read a tape measureEmployee is expected to meet or exceed established Electrical Assembler II productivity run ratesWorking & Environmental ConditionsLifting up to 50 lbs. occasionallyRegular and frequent standingFrequently working from a ladder, and climbing up and down ladders.Regularly working overheadRegularly working in cramped quartersMore InformationThis job description outlines the essential functions of the job and does not contain a comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties.
