Electrical And Instrumentation TechnicianThe Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) is an American multinational consumer goods. P&G serves consumers around the world with one of the strongest portfolios of trusted, quality, leadership brands, including ZzzQuil, NyQuil, Prilosec, Pepto Bismol and Align.Position Location: Greensboro, NC – Swing Road PlantElectrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technicians are responsible for enabling production throughput, reducing equipment downtime, eliminating defects, and building technical mastery. They focus on initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects with the goal of delivering the best product, at the lowest cost, with the highest quality, and in a safe environment. E&I Technicians are expected to have electrical technical mastery in order to successfully troubleshoot problems and to proactively improve production systems. E&I Technicians perform various types of work, such as:Maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed packing, making, and facilities power & controls equipmentUsing electrical test equipment to diagnose electrical problemsPerforming preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipmentTroubleshooting, monitoring, & programming PLC, SCADA, and HMI systemsTroubleshooting and monitoring variable frequency drives, servo control systems, roboticsTroubleshooting and repairing machine and process control equipmentHave ownership of systems/equipmentIndividuals with an electrical-based AAS (Associates of Applied Science) degree or equivalent electrical work experience should apply. Familiarity with the National Electric Code and being Low Voltage Qualified is desired. Additional skills we are seeking include experience with PLC's and HMI's, instrumentation calibrations, motor control systems, variable frequency drives, servo drives, power distribution (<600V), and control system networking. In addition, we are seeking individuals with good interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills. All applicants must be willing to rotate shifts and pass a drug screening, physical, and several job-related skill tests.The Greensboro Procter & Gamble Plant operates 7-days per week. Technicians work any day of the week, including weekends. Work on weekends may be as overtime or as part of the Technician's normal schedule. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule. The hours of work vary from 8 to 12 hours per day. Shift rotations vary from working a single straight shift to working two or three rotating shifts. Technicians are expected to be willing to rotate and to work any shift.
