A growing organization is seeking an experienced Senior eCommerce Application Developer to join its technology team. This role will work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), SAP CPQ, Java/Spring, B2B commerce, integrations, and modern headless architectures .
Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Architecture
- Develop, enhance, refactor, and optimize applications within SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
- Design end-to-end solutions integrating SAP Commerce with SAP CPQ, ERP, CRM, and external web services.
- Participate in technical architecture and enterprise-level design discussions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure development standards and best practices are followed.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture specifications, API documentation, and integration guides.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize application performance.
- Analyze system performance issues such as memory utilization, thread behavior, and backend service performance.
Release & Delivery
- Support and lead application release cycles and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Coordinate application changes through approval, testing, and deployment.
- Support automated testing and continuous delivery practices.
- Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver effective B2B digital experiences.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to backend developers.
- Promote strong coding practices, quality standards, and SAP Commerce development best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve the organization's digital ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant software development experience and a Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development experience.
- Experience with SAP CPQ is strongly preferred, ideally including 2+ years of hands-on exposure.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes , including Configure-to-Order and/or Engineer-to-Order environments.
- Strong technical expertise with SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP CPQ.
- Experience with headless commerce architectures , including Spartacus/SAP Composable Storefront, ReactJS, and OCC APIs.
- Advanced knowledge of Java/J2EE and Spring Framework , including Spring Core, MVC, Security, and Integration.
- Experience integrating SAP Commerce with ERP, CRM, and external web services.
- Experience working in Agile environments and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong experience designing solutions for complex projects and large-scale B2B commerce implementations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to support application development, planning, automation, or documentation.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience
- Full-stack development experience with ReactJS.
- Experience implementing or optimizing AI-assisted development workflows.
- Experience creating automation tools or reusable development workflows using AI technologies.
