Our Senior Project Managers play a critical role in delivering complex dredging programs that directly impact company performance, safety outcomes, and profitability.This RoleThe Senior Dredge Project Manager is responsible for leading large-scale, complex dredging and marine construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role owns project execution, financial performance, client relationships, and field coordination while serving as a senior operational leader across Curtin's dredging portfolio. This position is designed for experienced dredging professionals who can independently manage high-risk, high-value projects while mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement across operations.What You'll DoProject Leadership & ExecutionLead end-to-end execution of Curtin Maritime dredging projects from award through final acceptanceManage multiple concurrent projects or large complex programs with full accountability for schedule, budget, safety, and qualityServe as primary client interface and represent Curtin Maritime at all project meetingsOversee mobilization, execution, and demobilization planning and logisticsProactively identify change orders, differing site conditions, claims, and REAs and lead negotiations with clientsFinancial & Performance ManagementDevelop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls in coordination with FinanceMonitor production rates, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency to maximize margin performanceTrack project KPIs including productivity, safety performance, and schedule adherenceLead recovery plans for at-risk projectsOperational CoordinationCoordinate closely with Dredge Superintendents, Port Captains, Engineers, Crewing, HSSE, Survey, Yard Operations, and Field TeamsManage subcontractors, equipment vendors, and third-party service providersOversee daily reporting, production tracking, and quality control documentationEnsure compliance with USACE, regulatory, environmental, and contractual requirementsTechnical & Preconstruction SupportProvide senior-level technical expertise to Estimating during bid developmentSupport production planning, means and methods development, and constructability reviewsReview dredge plans, survey data, production reports, and technical deliverablesParticipate in post-project reviews and lessons learned initiativesLeadership & DevelopmentMentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Field EngineersSupport training initiatives and SOP development across dredging operationsPromote Curtin's safety culture and operational standardsAct as a senior leader within the Marine Construction groupWho You AreExperience & Qualifications10+ years of Project Management experience in dredging, marine construction, or heavy civil marine work8+ years of direct dredging project leadership strongly preferredBachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferredUSACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) Certification preferredOSHA 30 and EM 385-1-1 preferredPrimavera P6 scheduling experience preferredStrong working knowledge of dredge operations, marine equipment, survey workflows, and production planningTechnical CapabilitiesProven ability to manage complex dredging programs with minimal oversightStrong understanding of marine construction logistics and vessel operationsExperience managing project controls, CPM schedules, and cost forecastingAbility to interpret survey data, drawings, and production reportsWorking knowledge of RMS, AutoCAD, Hypack or similar survey platforms preferredLeadership AttributesProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in field and office environmentsStrong negotiation and client relationship management skillsHigh accountability mindset with ownership of outcomesStrong communication skills across executive, field, and client stakeholdersComfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure project environmentsPhysical & Field RequirementsAbility to work onboard vessels and in active marine construction environmentsAbility to climb ladders, access barges, and navigate industrial job sitesMust meet fit-for-duty requirements including physical and drug screeningAbility to lift up to 50 lbs as neededSchedule & TravelRotational schedule may apply depending on project assignmentTravel to job sites, shipyard, and field operations requiredOccasional extended project rotations and weekend support may be requiredWhat We OfferBase Salary Range: $150,000 – $190,000 (DOE) Highly qualified candidates with extensive dredging leadership experience may qualify for advanced compensation packages.Competitive CompensationGenerous benefits package including:MedicalDentalVisionShort-term DisabilityAD&D/Life Insurance401k (with company match)Additional option to elect incremental Life Insurance for employee and dependents, and choice to elect Health and/or Dependent Flexible Spending Account.Curtin Maritime is an equal opportunity employer.
