Senior Division Order AnalystScout Energy is a private energy investment firm that acquires, operates and improves upstream conventional oil and gas properties for institutional investors. Scout's business is both the management of private energy funds and the operation of the oil and gas assets it owns.Scout is seeking a Senior Division Order Analyst with a wealth of knowledge in land and mineral work. Of particular focus will be preparation of divisions of interest and ownership issues as well as implementing changes in Enertia for maintaining decks and paying obligations.

The Division Order Analyst is responsible for the proper distribution of revenues obtained from oil and/or gas production or other mineral deposits, which includes the ongoing maintenance of the ownership of those wells. This position will report to Scout's Land Administration Manager as a part of our Land department.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, calculate and maintain record title ownership and division of interest utilizing title opinions, leases, deeds, probate proceedings, curative, etc.Interact with working interest owners, royalty and excess royalty owners, contractual partners, mineral owners and Governmental Agencies to answer complex inquiries and provide informationRequest documentation to cure title requirements related to ownership records, joint interest billings and payment of royalties including name/address changes, legal suspense, escheat issuesEstablish, update and maintain joint interest billing and revenue decksCreate new well set-ups, Landman analysis and reports, Title Analysis, Research, Probate/Judgements, Calculations of all interest types, Ad valorem tax liaison, Suspense/release of owner's royalties, Acquisitions/Divestitures, Escheat, Internal set up of new owner numbers and maintain all electronic and paper records.Interface with accounting regarding royalty and joint interest billing payments, corrections adjustments, reverse and rebooksCommunicate with working interest and royalty interest owners in response to division order inquiries regarding payment issues, verification of well interests and interest calculationsApprove release of suspense funds when requirements are satisfied.Assist with process improvements and documentation of procedures.Mentor and support lower-level Division Order AnalystsSkills & SpecificationsThorough understanding of revenue payments in a Land DepartmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)Strong oil and gas division order experience, including deck creation, title and lease analysis, and calculation of divisions of interest.Verbal and written communication skills to support positive interactions with other departments and parties when making inquiriesSelf-Motivated and detail-orientedAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesWork well with others and with minimal requirementsEducation & QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field a plus, but not required5+ years of experience in a Division Order Analyst roleEnertia experience preferred
