Senior Director, Insurance - North America

We're partnering with a rapidly growing enterprise software company that is investing heavily in its North American insurance business.

About the Role

Following significant global growth and strong market momentum, they're looking to appoint a Senior Director to lead and scale their insurance sales function across the US. This is a player-coach opportunity for an experienced enterprise sales leader who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on involvement in complex enterprise sales. The successful individual will lead a team of Enterprise Account Executives while remaining actively involved in winning new business with Tier 1 and Tier 2 insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the North American insurance go-to-market strategy.
• Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth across Tier 1 and Tier 2 insurance carriers.
• Lead, coach and mentor a team of Enterprise Account Executives.
• Act as a true player-coach by supporting and participating in strategic enterprise sales opportunities.
• Build executive relationships with key stakeholders across the insurance ecosystem.
• Work cross-functionally with leadership, marketing, product and customer teams to accelerate growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading enterprise software sales teams within the insurance industry.
• Deep understanding of the US carrier landscape and complex enterprise buying processes.
• A strong track record selling high-value SaaS or data platforms into Tier 1 insurance organisations.
• Experience leading long, consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to coach while remaining commercially active.
• Strong relationships across the North American insurance market would be highly advantageous.
• Experience selling AI, analytics, data platforms, fraud, financial crime or other complex enterprise technology into insurers would be particularly relevant.
