The Sr. Director, Human Resources is responsible for both strategic and hands-on tactical implementation of all HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, leave of absence administration, compliance, employee relations, performance management, HRIS administration, employee development, engagement, and retention. The Sr. Director, Human Resources develops programs and processes that support corporate objectives and drive employee engagement and retention.
The Sr. Director, Human Resources provides strategic HR guidance and support to company leadership and employees.This is a hybrid role out of the San Diego office. Relocation will not be provided. Visa sponsorship is not available.Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies and programs that support corporate objectivesDevelop, lead, and administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity.
Partnering closely with 3rd party compensation consultants and CFODrive the talent acquisition strategy and resources to attract and retain top talent; perform and oversee recruiting effortsManage employee retention and engagement programs and recommend improvements and new initiativesLead and manage the performance management process; work with managers to identify and address performance issuesConsult, advise, and coach executive leadership in HR, people, and organizational mattersCollaborate with leaders on organizational design and implementation and recommend and develop programs to promote employee developmentMonitor employee engagement and develop HR programs that evaluate and maintain engagementEnsure HR policies and practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations and employment lawManage all HR systems, including maintenance, data analysis, reports, and knowledge of systemsAddress and resolve employee relations issues and conduct employee investigations as necessaryPerform hands-on, day-to-day HR administration and direction, such as managing recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees; developing, updating, and communicating procedures and policies; performing benefits and leave of absence administration; ensuring legal compliance; and providing daily assistance as neededCollaborate closely with the Accounting & Finance department on payroll and people-related budget and expensesMonitor the HR department budget and resourcesPerform other responsibilities as business needs require
