Senior Director, FP&A, Global Supply Chain & Tech OpsCytokinetics is a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company, building on its over 25 years of pioneering scientific innovations in muscle biology, and advancing a pipeline of potential new medicines for patients suffering from diseases of cardiac muscle dysfunction.Our Senior Director, FP&A, Global Supply Chain & Tech Ops reports to the Vice President, FP&A and serves as an integral member of the Finance Leadership team. Position serves as a key advisor to the Head of Global Supply Chain & Tech Ops and contributes to the organization's development and achievement of strategic goals. In addition, the individual is charged with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and processes both in the finance and general operational realms.This is an opportunity for a senior finance professional with operational experience and a proven track record of creative problem-solving and change management to join a high growth, patient-centric, mission-driven organization.Duties and Responsibilities:Act as key advisor to the head of Global Supply Chain/Tech Ops to drive results that are aligned to Corporate strategy and goalsDevelop and implement forward-looking, financial analytics to provide insights into the organization's operations and business plansOwn financial forecasting, planning and analyses for commercial production, including COGS, inventory, and supply chain operations; work cross-functionally with Commercial, Regulatory, Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment in demand & supply forecastsSupport development and maintenance of financial and operational KPIs related to production, inventory levels, procurement spend, capacity utilization, and supply chain performanceOwn financial forecasting, planning and analyses for pre-clinical and clinical stage development, manufacturing and technical operations activitiesEnsure compliance with internal controls and proceduresParticipate/lead special projectsOther duties as assigned by managerTeam Development/Leadership:Serve as the primary business partner to the Global Supply Chain & Tech Ops Leadership TeamDirect activities (dotted line basis) of Zug, Switzerland-based Associate Director, FP&A providing part-time support for Ireland manufacturing activitiesPromote a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to qualityMentor company FP&A staff including evolving mindsets to a more strategic and story-telling levelLead by example and communicate cross-functionallyQualifications include:A minimum of a BS or similar designation; MBA preferredAt least 10 years experience in key financial leadership roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical/biopharma industry supporting manufacturing, technical operations, and supply chain functionsStrong understanding of cost accounting, manufacturing variances, and supply chain processesExperience supporting global commercial stage biotech organizations is preferredExperience directly supporting senior manufacturing executivesExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skillsAbility to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinkerMust be willing to flex work hours at times to accommodate business partners in EuropeMust be willing to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25% of timePay Range: In the U.S., the hiring pay range for fully qualified candidates is $270,000-$315,000 per year.
