Akkodis is seeking a Senior DevOps / OpenShift Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC(Hybrid) . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.
Rate Range: $60-65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and platform engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing containerized application platforms, supporting development teams, improving system reliability, and driving automation initiatives across enterprise-scale environments.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container technologies.
- Extensive experience supporting and managing CI/CD platforms and automation tools.
- Expert-level experience with:
- Jenkins
- Bitbucket
- SonarQube
- Artifactory
- Ansible
- Ansible Tower
- JIRA
- Strong Linux administration experience.
- Hands-on scripting and automation experience using Python, Groovy, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and modern build/deployment pipelines.
- Experience supporting large-scale distributed enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with release management, build engineering, deployment strategies, and testing processes.
- Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems and production environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
