DevOps/Cloud Solutions EngineerAs a member of our Foundational and Core Services Enablement team, you will work alongside architects and DevOps engineers to facilitate a swift adoption of Cloud technologies, mature patterns to drive greater efficiencies and automation as well as assist development teams through a transformational journey. We are using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code (IAC) and have created modular templates with advanced bootstrapping (using PowerShell) for build and deployment orchestration to transform base AMI’s for their zone-specific purpose. Auto-scaling groups alongside CloudWatch and health checks are leveraged to treat servers as cattle and not pets.
We are subject to the highest information security guidelines and presently leveraging AWS KMS and Secrets Manager for credential, token and secrets management. Lambdas (.Net and NodeJS) are used whenever possible to fulfill key functions and orchestrate supporting workloads such as key rotation, data acquisition/migration jobs, etc. Advanced telemetry is a foundational necessity for our suite of applications and we are aggressively maturing our proactive monitoring practice using a collection of tools (Grafana, CW, Splunk, Uptrends) and risk-based alerting (email, SMS, push notifications) with a push toward creating self-healing infrastructure. An ideal candidate will be obsessed with automating everything, be an outside-the-box thinker and possess the ability to both design and implement with high proficiency and quality.
