Senior DevOps EngineerInsight Global is seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to support a rapidly growing defense aviation client in Los Angeles, CA. This person will join a fast-moving infrastructure team responsible for maintaining and improving the AWS environment, supporting a small on-premises server footprint, administering business-critical applications, and expanding the organization's infrastructure-as-code capabilities.
The role is primarily focused on DevOps with a systems administration component.
Responsibilities will include supporting and stabilizing the current AWS environment, developing a longer-term rearchitecture plan, automating infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible, and managing applications hosted in AWS, including Ansys, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and JFrog Artifactory. This engineer will also support Windows-based systems, Hyper-V environments, backups, Entra ID, and advanced technical escalations. They will partner closely with cybersecurity, engineering, Jira administration, and internal application development teams to build secure, repeatable infrastructure that supports a highly iterative aerospace environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within an imperfect environment, solving unfamiliar issues, managing several priorities at once, and creating a practical path toward stronger automation, stability, and security.This is a direct hire position, with an annual salary ranging $136-226,000. Insurance is employer paid for, unlimited PTO, annual bonus, stock options, and a 401K program.
