We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer to join our client's team. This role is contract and qualified candidates should reside within the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX metro area. Join our client's team and help build the financial technology infrastructure that millions of customers rely on every day.
What You'll Do
As a DevOps Engineer – AWS & Terraform, you'll play a crucial role in building and maintaining the robust AWS infrastructure that powers our client's digital transformation. You will:
- Programmatically create infrastructure in AWS, leveraging Autoscaling Groups, Security Groups, Route53, S3, and IAM to support business-critical applications
- Enable the data development team to deliver new code daily through Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines
- Build end-to-end data factory platform infrastructure using Terraform and related technologies
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions that align with best practices and business needs
Core Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in AWS services, including:
- EKS, Load Balancers (ALB/NLB), Route53, Auto Scaling Groups, and routing/networking fundamentals
- VPC design, Transit Gateway, and VPC Peering
- Implementation of least privilege access principles (IAM policies, roles, and permissions)
- Hands‑on proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Advanced use of Terraform, including module design, reusability, and ability to write/maintain code independently
- Practical experience with Python for automation, scripting, and integrations
- CI/CD Pipelines – Hands on experience configuring and managing Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions for build, test, and deployment automation
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and general cloud‑native infrastructure patterns
