Senior Designer - Industrial Plant Layout

Your Tasks:

  We're looking for an experienced, hands-on designer who can independently create complex 3D industrial layouts.

  Create detailed 3D layouts for automotive paint shops and process manufacturing facilities using AutoCAD 3D.

• n

  Develop original layouts and drawings from project concepts, customer information, engineering requirements, and building documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Create and assemble project coordination drawings supporting bidding, installation, and commissioning activities.

  n
n
• n

  Use Navisworks to combine and coordinate 3D models and identify potential layout conflicts.

  n
n
• n

  Lead layout and BIM coordination activities to support efficient, collision-free installation.

  n
n
• n

  Develop and maintain process manufacturing layouts and facility-level building documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Coordinate equipment placement, access requirements, clearances, and interfaces between building systems and paint finishing equipment.

  n
n
• n

  Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, equipment information, and customer documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Participate in design reviews and resolve real or potential layout and design issues.

  n
n
• n

  Coordinate with engineering, estimating, project management, contractors, suppliers, and customers.

  n
n
• n

  Complete drawings and layout revisions according to agreed project schedules.

  n
n
• n

  Maintain accurate drawing revisions, document distribution, and project design records.

  n
n
• n

  Conduct field measurements and provide onsite design support when required.

  n
n
• n

  Support project teams throughout design, installation, and commissioning.

  n
n

Your Skills:

n
• n

  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Design, CAD, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  n
n
• n

  5-7 years of experience creating layouts for manufacturing facilities, industrial plants, or process manufacturing environments.

  n
n
• n

  Advanced hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD 3D.

  n
n
• n

  Experience using Navisworks for 3D model coordination and layout integration.

  n
n
• n

  Demonstrated ability to create original drawings and layouts-not solely review, redline, or revise the work of others.

  n
n
• n

  Experience developing process manufacturing layouts and building documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Experience interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Understanding of BIM coordination, equipment interfaces, spatial requirements, and multidisciplinary facility layouts.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with MicroStation or Inventor may be considered when accompanied by strong industrial 3D layout experience.

  n
n
• n

  Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and customers.

  n
n
• n

  Willingness to travel approximately 20% based on project requirements.
