Overview
This position is for "z/OS Database Engineer," not Data Engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related experience.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in designing, implementing, and maintaining z/OS database management systems including DB2, IMS/DB, data sharing, and related infrastructure software.
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and support Parallel Sysplex application enablement.
- Experience providing technical leadership for managed service providers and offshore support teams.
- Experience with database security concepts, tools, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in z/OS database management system performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization using tools like BMC AMI OPS, BMC Apptune, and IBM Intellimagic Vision.
