We are currently sourcing for an Oracle DBA to work at Fidelity in Westlake, TX!The RoleFidelity Business Enablement Technology (FIBET) is seeking a highly proficient and motivated Senior Database Administrator to lead various database initiatives. The primary responsibilities of this role include not only the existing database support in the data center and the Cloud, which includes AWS and Snowflake, but also the database Cloud migration.
This Senior Database Administrator is a tier 2 application DBA support in an Oracle environment within FIBET. As the senior member of this team, this individual will be working with a team of associates in Westlake and Bangalore India, providing technical leadership to the team and whole FIBE in the database space.The Expertise and Skills You Bring5+ years of IT experience including 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA supporting critical business applicationsProven experience in Oracle 19c or 12c RAC and multitenant database supportExpertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and assist application teams in troubleshooting and resolving database and SQL performance related issuesExperience in developing tools, standards, governance polices to ensure efficient, effective, and compliant delivery of database capabilitiesExperience in deploying database schema management and implement database configuration changes in production.Hands-on experience deploying and supporting databases in the Cloud(AWS/Snowflake) is preferredExpertise developing CI/CD pipelines for database infrastructure/DDL/DML using tools including Jenkins, Jenkins Core, bitbucket or Stash, Artifactory, uDeploy, Terraform, and Concourse, etc.AWS Certification(s) are desiredProgramming skills in Linux shell scripting, PL/SQL, Python is desiredExcellent communication skills, both through written and verbal channelsExcellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organizationAbility to take initiative, deal with ambiguity, and work in fast paced environmentThe TeamFidelity Business Enablement Technology provides investment management services through investment professionals at financial institutions nationwide, including wire houses, regional and independent broker/dealers, banks, trust companies and insurance companies.
