The Senior Database Administrator will provide hands-on leadership and oversight with business and leadership teams and partners to identify needs, define strategy and guide the delivery of new technologies.Responsibilities:As part of the technology team, provide strategic insight and expertise and tactical execution of Deposita's technology infrastructure game planEvaluate current data structure, environment, and create in collaboration with the product team and execute a short-term plan to any identified gaps or potential issuesActively engage in strategic planning for Deposita infrastructure architecture designOwnership and leadership of response and resolution for all major incidentsEvaluate DR plan, identify gaps, improve current environment, test, and maintain a DR testing protocolCreate a self-audit evaluation of current technology environmentProvide regular internal reviews on key performance and management information reportingMake recommendations on improved processes for customer and/or application enhancements and cost saving strategiesConduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elementsQualifications:Microsoft Technology certifications or experience including SQL, Azure, and other technology modulesMust possess one or more of the following:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related degreeAssociate's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a professional database administration roleHigh school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a professional database administration roleWork experience with MSSQL or OracleWork experience with Visual StudioMust possess hands-on experience demonstrating proficiency in the following:In collaboration with the product team, development of strategies and execute plans for managing large and growing databasesIn collaboration with the product team, design, and implementation of Disaster Recover strategiesIn collaboration with the product team, create architecture and implement High Availability strategies to provide near-real-time replication environmentDesign, lead and execute key production performance monitoringCreate audit test scripts and ensure assigned area passes internal/external audit requirementsProvide production supportEnabling and improving people, process, and technology to deliver optimal support service to the businessService reviews, KPI, management information reportingAdd value to a high performing teamEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to perform required activities in a self-management environmentPlanning and organizing skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsProblem solving skillsCoaching, mentoring, motivating skillsActive listening skillsEncourage effective teamworkAssess and evaluate situations effectivelySynthesize facts, concepts, principlesIdentify critical issues quickly and accuratelyCompile, sort, and interpret dataResearch, investigate, compile informationMediate conflict with tact, diplomacyAbility to write informatively, clearly, and accuratelyAdvanced creativitySetting and achieving goalsAttending to detailWorking on a higher performing teamProficient analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of staffDemonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable, organizedDemonstrated ability to handle multiple demands for time, energy, and resourcesMust be able to work flexible schedules for critical eventsPreferred Qualifications:Enterprise Database Technologies certification or relative on the job trainingOffice environment with minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures expectedMajor activities include working on PC while sitting, telephone usePhysical effort is limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reachingMust be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by lawReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsBenefits:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEnrollment in our company's 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirementsEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
