Senior Data Tester - Data Migration SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Tester with expertise in testing data movements and migration processes, particularly from on-premise to cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in utilizing automated testing tools, such as SSIS and QuerySurge, to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of data migration projects.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate data migration processes.Perform end-to-end testing of data movements from on-premise systems to cloud platforms, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the migration.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and ensure testing objectives are met.Identify and report defects, anomalies, and issues in a timely manner, working with the development team to resolve them effectively.Utilize automated testing tools such as SSIS, QuerySurge, or similar tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.Develop and maintain testing frameworks, scripts, and automation suites to support data migration testing efforts.Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for data testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data testing practices.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.7-9 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on data testing and migration projects.Strong proficiency in testing data movements, transformations, and migrations across different platforms and environments.Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as SSIS, QuerySurge, Informatica, or similar tools.Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts, with the ability to write complex queries for data validation and verification.Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is preferred.Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
