Senior Data Scientist

Celestar, a B&A Company, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to work in the National Capital Region. This full‑time role involves leading advanced data analytics, building predictive models, and driving data‑driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced data analytics, data mining, and predictive analysis to produce actionable insights.
• Retrieve, analyze, and consolidate information from multiple sources, building AI tools to automate processes.
• Develop Machine Learning based tools such as recommendation engines and automated lead scoring systems.
• Perform statistical analysis, apply data mining techniques, and build high‑quality prediction systems.
• Utilize data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and scripting languages (R, Python) to create clear reports.
• Manage and merge disparate data sources using R, Python, or SQL, and implement data mining algorithms.
• Demonstrate experience with large datasets, multi‑INT analytics, and automated predictive analytics.
• Provide senior‑level enterprise support across multiple defense cover databases and applications.

Education and Experience

• Master’s degree with 12 years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with an additional 5 years of related experience (total of 17 years) in lieu of a master’s.
• 12 years of related experience in the specific labor category, with at least some within the last 2 years.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.

Security Clearance

• TS/SCI with CI Poly.

$175,000 - $180,000
