Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for two Senior Data Scientists with experience implementing AI and Machine Learning techniques from the ground up. You will be part of a team of two Data Scientists exploring opportunities to implement Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies in our environment.

Responsibilities

• Build out an AI/ML sandbox for conducting Data Science experiments.
• Identify applications/processes that could benefit from AI/ML and implement those technologies.
• Educate existing staff on basic algorithms along with best practices and pitfalls of each.
• Create a roadmap for the future state of our platform.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc. or equivalent experience.
• Excellent knowledge of best practices in the fields of AI/ML.
• Financial Services experience a plus.
• Great analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution, and implement it using advanced quantitative methods.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.

• Experience with general finance, derivatives, alt’s, and market data.

Experience

• 5 to 7 years

Top Three Must-Haves

• Data science experience, AI and machine learning fundamentals, and data pipelines.

• Basic computer skills such as MS Office, Visio, etc.

Interview Process

• The candidate will most likely go through two, maybe three, rounds; presumably one interviewer at a time. There will not be a test.

Working Hours

• It’s really going to depend on which project they’re working on and who their business unit is. Ideally we’ll have as much overlap as possible but it’s not a requirement that they work the exact same hours. We’re open.

Day to Day

• The person will be working independently and with the business unit on the analysis of whichever project they’re currently assigned.
