Overview
The Core Analytics Team at Roku focuses on Ad Quality and Ad Products, partnering with Engineering, Product, and Business teams to deliver data-driven insights and innovative capabilities. The Senior Data Scientist will own end-to-end problem solving from trend identification to A/B test design, building pipelines, dashboards, and communicating results to executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Build reporting data pipelines and dashboards to provide accurate, timely insights.
- Design and execute A/B tests and apply causal inference methods to measure impact and inform product decisions.
- Partner directly with stakeholders to understand key business questions that improve Ad Quality and accelerate the evolution of Ads Products.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Develop analytics tools, models, alerts, and testing frameworks to measure Ad Quality and Ads Product metrics.
- Deliver presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and executive audiences.
- Translate complex technical topics into clear business recommendations.
- Provide feedback to leadership and stakeholders on performance of initiatives and untapped opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of advanced analytics experience, or master’s/Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker.
- Experience using R or Python for data analysis and modeling.
- Deep knowledge of experimental design and causal inference methods, including A/B testing.
- Experience with forecasting models such as SARIMA, Prophet, TFT, or similar approaches.
- Experience in data management, analytics, data science, and reporting.
- Experience with advertising systems, programmatic advertising, and advertising identity.
- Ability to work independently and manage relationships with stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with data visualization and narrative for stakeholders and executives.
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
Location & Compensation
New York (Only). Estimated annual salary between $127,500 and $170,400.

AI Skills
Use of AI agents and smart tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, MCP servers, custom skills, or agent frameworks. Ability to drive an agent, verify its output, and ramp on an unfamiliar codebase with an agent.
