Senior Data EngineerThis organization is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and deliver modern ELT pipelines, scalable architectures, and analytics-ready datasets. The successful candidate will lead with strong engineering fundamentals, partner across teams, and help establish standards for how data is built and used. This role involves turning complex, high-volume data into trusted, reusable products that accelerate the work of engineers, analysts, and data scientists.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and ELT pipelines aligned with business outcomes.Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, pipelines, and models.Build data products that increase productivity for engineers, analysts, and data scientists.Engineer features for modeling in collaboration with data scientists and business partners.Lead the evaluation and deployment of emerging analytics engineering tools and processes.Define and promote best practices for quality, stability, reuse, and scale.Mentor junior engineers and lead design discussions.Collaborate with ML engineers, BI specialists, and solutions architects on enterprise initiatives.Required QualificationsExperience:10 or more years of total experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.Experience in a large, enterprise-scale data engineering environment is required.Must be highly collaborative and thrive in a large, matrixed organization.Technical Skills:Expertise in SQL, including advanced capabilities.Proficiency with big data technologies such as Spark, PySpark, and Databricks.Deep understanding of distributed computing, scalability, and data architecture.Experience with modern data pipeline practices and tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Python).Strong software engineering fundamentals and tooling (e.g., Git, CI/CD, JIRA).Cloud experience building data and analytics solutions (GCP preferred; Azure is also valued).Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Alteryx.Education:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
