We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, with a focus on AWS cloud services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven applications and analytics, ensuring efficient data flow and accessibility.

The position is in Herndon, VA.Responsibilities:Design and implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into data warehousesDevelop and maintain data models and schemas to support analytics and reporting needsCollaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to integrate data solutions into applications and workflowsOptimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalabilityEnsure data quality and integrity through validation, testing, and monitoringImplement data security and compliance measures in accordance with organizational policiesUtilize AWS services such as S3 and RDS for data storage and processingDevelop APIs and interfaces to facilitate data access and integrationParticipate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning and reviewsDocument data engineering processes, architectures, and best practicesRequirements:5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related fields.Strong experience with SQL and relational databases, particularly PostgreSQLExpertise with SQL scripting, database indexing, and optimization techniquesProficient in working with views, triggers, and stored proceduresExperience in developing, creating, and modifying data structures and load routines for business useHands-on experience with AWS data services (e.g., S3, RDS, Glue, Redshift)Familiarity with data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing conceptsExperience with API development and integrationKnowledge of data security and compliance standardsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholdersUS Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance requiredDesired Experience:Experience with AWS Cloud Data Migration ServicesFamiliarity with Jira for project tracking and managementFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and KubernetesKnowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationExperience with data visualization tools like Power BI or TableauAWS certifications related to data engineering or architecture
