NC FAST Senior Data EngineerLocation: Research Triangle Park, Durham NC 27709Client: State of NCDHHS-ITD requires the services of Specialists in the roles of Senior Data Engineer to lead data extraction, conversion, archival, de-identification, and migration efforts for NC FAST/Green application portfolio.The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires the assistance of contract resources to serve as Senior Data Engineer. The purpose of this position is to analyze, map, build, test, and maintain data extraction, conversion, and migration from databases like Oracle and DB2 to target databases including Data Warehouse, Data lake on various cloud or on-prem database platforms.One of the primary focuses of this position is to lead data analysis, mapping, needed transformation, and extraction of data from Oracle and DB2 databases to migrate to Salesforce platform for Child welfare program. The work involves collaborating with various internal and vendor stakeholders to understand business requirements and translating them into efficient and scalable technical solutions for the Child Welfare program.
The persons in this position will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes to support the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various Child Welfare sources into Salesforce.This position will also support data archival for management of data growth, data sub-setting to extract criteria-based data, and data de-identification to help provide needed data for application validation.The Senior data engineer will need excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The work involves understanding data, relationships among data objects, designing and developing ETL to support these data workstreams.
