This is a remote position.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect with strong Microsoft Azure expertise and exposure to Microsoft Fabric. This is a part-time advisory and hands-on role focused on designing, optimizing, and supporting modern cloud data architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable Azure-based data solutions.
- Work extensively withMicrosoft Azure, includingAzure Data Factoryand related data services.
- Support and guide implementation withinMicrosoft Fabricenvironments.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models.
- Collaborate on reporting and analytics solutions usingPower BI.
- Provide architectural guidance, best practices, and mentorship (Fabric trainee-level support as needed).
- Participate in a monthly onsite session (~2 hours) in Southern California.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and visualization.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time advisory capacity.
- Approx. 25 hours per month (around 6 hours per week).
- One onsite meeting per month (2 hours) in Southern California.
