Senior Data EngineerWe have an immediate need for a Senior Data Engineer to help modernize and scale the data foundation supporting next-generation analytics and AI initiatives. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on designing and implementing modern data architecture, improving data quality and governance, and transitioning legacy data workflows into a scalable cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate is a self-directed engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges, establishing technical standards, and building scalable solutions that enable both current analytics needs and future AI capabilities.
This is a long-term, W-2 contract opportunity with potential for conversion to full-time with our Fortune 50 client, based on performance and business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and build scalable data models and transformation frameworksDevelop and maintain data pipelines in BigQuery and Dataform (or dbt)Implement Medallion-style data architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Semantic layers)Improve data quality, documentation, governance, and development standardsMigrate and modernize legacy ETL processes and workflowsReview code, enforce best practices, and support analytics teams through scalable data solutionsPartner with technical stakeholders to create a foundation for future AI and ML initiatives
