Job Overview

We are looking for senior attorneys in Texas to lead high‑exposure insurance defense and trial advocacy cases. An active bar license in the State of Texas is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling case themes that outweigh plaintiff sympathies.
  • Refuse to accept mediocrity and set high standards.
  • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.
  • Collaborate with team members at all experience levels.
  • Maintain routine communications with clients.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients.
  • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA‑approved school.
  • Active state bar license (Texas required).
  • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, including deposition and trial preparation.
  • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial.
  • Preferred experience with insurance defense matters.
  • Experience with time‑management systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Independent, self‑directed work style.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Compensation Package

  • Base salary: $150,000–$200,000 annually.
  • Annual billable‑hours bonus: at least $10,000 plus $7,500 for each additional tier.
  • Comprehensive benefits coverage; most plans at zero employee cost.
  • 401(k) program with 100 % match on the first 3 % and 50 % match on the following 4‑5 %.
  • Student‑loan repayment assistance or 529 plan ($100–$200/month after one year).
