Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply laws impacting public finance transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of deal documents
- Advise underwriting and credit teams on legal considerations
- Oversee legal aspects from initial structuring through closing
- Handle post-closing matters, including amendments, consents, and waivers
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in public finance at a law firm or financial institution
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership (NY or eligible)
- Deep understanding of municipal finance transactions and industry participants
- Experience with complex financings (e.g., healthcare, education, housing) preferred
- Familiarity with distressed or restructuring scenarios is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
