Overview
Tecolote Research is seeking a Cost Analyst to support programs related to space vehicles, ground segments, software, and infrastructure for the DOD Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power community.
Responsibilities
- Develop cost estimates, perform risk analyses, and prepare documentation
- Collaborate with program managers and technical staff to develop descriptions, strategies, and acquisition documents
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to government clients
- Analyze contractor data and generate independent projections
- Support government source selections and communicate results confidently to all levels of DoD review
Skills Required
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 10+ years of cost estimating experience supporting DoD, NRO, Intelligence Agencies, NASA, or NOAA
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, sciences, economics, or business; Master’s preferred
- Professional certifications (e.g., ICEAA, PMI, DAWIA) are desirable
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ACEIT, USCM, SEER, SSCM, NICM, COCOMO II is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Deep knowledge of DoD acquisition, cost modeling, and risk analysis
- Experience leading cost estimates and reviews; familiarity with DoD PPBE process
Education
Bachelor’s degree in math, engineering, business, or sciences; Master’s preferred
