The Senior Cost Accountant will partner with a team of six others in US & Canada, and have joint responsibility for Accounting & Reporting for Supply Chain related accounts and activities, including Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold. Other key objectives of this role include business partnering with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse & Operations, as well as periodic budgeting and forecasting.ResponsibilitiesOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement presentation, with a focus on Supply Chain accountingPartner with Purchasing function to forecast demand and process site-based purchase ordersDrive improvement in financial operation metrics, with a focus on Inventory Months-on-HandEnsure compliance with accounting standardsDevelop and maintain internal control frameworkBalance Sheet & Gross Margin Variance AnalysisCollaborate with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual auditRequirementsBachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance field5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting roleExtremely detail-oriented with excellent reasoning & analytical skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsSAP Experience preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritizeExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust be a self-motivated, independent yet collaborative team player, eager to learnBase PayExpected Base Pay Range: $85,000 to $105,000 AnnualizedThe base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position.
