A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team and play an important role in plant operations, inventory management, and cost analysis. Senior Cost Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage and analyze standard costing, inventory valuation, labor, and overhead allocations
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support month-end close and plant-level financial reporting
• Review BOMs, routings, inventory processes, and manufacturing cost structures
• Oversee inventory processes including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reserve analysis
• Prepare operational reporting, margin analysis, and other financial analyses
• Partner with operations leadership on cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and accounting system/process improvements

Ideal Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of standard costing and inventory valuation
• Experience partnering with plant and operations leadership
• ERP experience and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Process improvement and systems experience is a plus

Salary: Up to $120K
