Senior Corporate Counsel

Salary: $220,000-250,000 base + 20% bonus + benefits (flexibility for exceptional candidates)

This is an opportunity to join a global private equity-backed energy infrastructure platform with a portfolio of 9GW+ of power generation assets across North America.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel , the successful candidate will play a key role supporting M&A transactions, project financings, strategic investments, refinancings, and broader corporate growth initiatives.

This is a highly visible role offering direct exposure to complex transactions, capital deployment activities, and the commercial decisions driving the future growth of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investment transactions
• Lead negotiation of commercial and transaction documentation across the deal lifecycle
• Advise on project financing transactions and debt financing arrangements
• Partner with finance, development, asset management, and executive teams on strategic business initiatives
• Assess legal and commercial risk while enabling efficient transaction execution
• Support portfolio optimisation activities, refinancings, and asset-level transactions
• Manage external counsel and coordinate legal workstreams through closing

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership
• 8+ years' experience in M&A, project finance, infrastructure, energy, or related transactional work
• Strong drafting and negotiation experience across complex commercial transactions
• Experience supporting investments, financings, or acquisitions within energy, infrastructure, or adjacent sectors
• Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
