A law firm seeks a Senior Corporate Attorney in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will manage complex business transactions from inception through completion, providing strategic counsel and serving as a trusted advisor to middle-market entrepreneurs, preferably with some security experience. This role requires four days in the NYC office and one day remote.
Duties
- Oversee and manage corporate transactions from initial structuring through closing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including buy/sell agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate formations.
- Provide strategic legal guidance to middle-market business clients.
- Interface directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct due diligence and manage transaction timelines.
- Identify and mitigate legal and business risks.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in corporate and transactional law.
- Demonstrated experience handling middle-market business transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently manage matters from inception to completion.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
Admitted to practice law in New York State.
